Crab legs with dinner only
Celebrated son's birthday. Place was very accommodating. Everyone enjoyed themselves. Good selection.
I liked it very much. I had a 10% off buffet coupon (must pay pay cash). Meal, tax and tip came to $13.50. Beverage not included so I had water. When seated, you get a cloth napkin, fork and spoon. My waitress also brought some paper napkins. There are many food selections, including sushi, dim sum, soups, teriyaki, steamed veggies, fish, peeled cooked shrimp and lots more. Service was very good removing dirty plates. Buffet choices were refilled promptly. Just wish I could have had a knife to cut up a few things. Tokyo Sushi is popular and it was reassuring to see many Asian folks enjoying the food.
My family likes this buffet. Because sashimi is fresh, I think kind and price are fine. I took my parents and my husband's parents together for the first time. Because they were so good, I felt good. The staff are all friendly and the food is great! Thank you Tokyo. GOD BLESS.
Wish I could give them 6
Always good. Wide variety of food for lunch.
The service is consistently swift, awesome mood, super friendly employees. Will eat here again when I get in town.
My favorite place
Pretty surprised! I am not familiar with this area but this restaurant is totally worth of visiting. The restaurant is spacious. Seating is plenty. It can host any size of your party. We had the buffet here. Food refill rate is awesome. Fresh & delicious! Staffs are friendly and the service is also prompt. The price is also cheap for the choice and service you got. $17 for a Saturday lunch.... A+
Overall great experience I thought the food was actually pretty good and it's easy to get in and out.
Pricey but our only choice close by for crabs. Food is good. Sushi is average but plentiful. Oysters. Shrimp and sashimi for fish lovers. All in all a good place to eat if you can afford it.
Visited tonight for dinner. Hibachi chef was great, Ivy was attentive and a great server. Needless to say we had a great time. Thanks!
My kids love this place, food is always good, chefs always entertaining..only 4 stars because the waitresses attitudes always suck.
Small place but very nice
The wait time was more than expected. When we got seated the soup was warm and The drinks had paper in them. The cool tool bout half an hour before he came out. The food was just OK. Could have been a lot better
Great food for a buffet. A lot of options. Sashimi was good. Oysters were surprisingly okay. Vegetable options available. Grilled meat options were great, particularly the veal
Extraordinary variety, everything was delicious, my only complaint is the crab legs didnt get refilled fast enough. The second they refilled it, it was empty. People were standing at the crab space waiting for it to arrive and then taking nearly all of it...they need to prepare twice as much and refill twice as often... The sushi and dim sum was super yummy...
They serve big dishes and for reasonable rates. welcoming staff members. Kudos.
If you love Japanese hibachi than this is the place to go. If you are ever in Monmouth county New Jersey Freehold New Jersey as a matter of fact then I would suggest you stop here and get a bite to eat
It has so many options! People complain about the price, but seafood at any restaurant is really expensive. Only difference is you can have as much as you want! If you go to a buffet and don't plan on eating your money's worth, that's on you lol. They have like, 15 different kinds of sushi, a bunch or seafood options, and they even have chicken tenders and fries if you go with a child that won't eat seafood. There is a variety of food, and I'm almost positive there is at least one thing you will like there. I like everything tbh!
Great food. Everything is fresh.
Restaurant also goes by the new name of Tokyo Shake Crab. Was craving crab and decided to try some of their new menu. I wasn't expecting it to be amazing but it was. 1 lb of crab with corn on the cob with spicy garlic butter sauce. It was cooked perfect and tasted amazing! Nice size crab legs too. Was messy but I didn't care about that. I couldn't stop licking my fingers. Nap time lol. Definitely will order again, no doubt.
Expensive, all food hot or cold is placed on ice so if you like your food hot this isn't the place. Crab legs were overcooked and rubbery. Food is mediocre at best. Not horrible but definitely won't be coming back.
The place is clean. The variety of dishes is great. Nicely priced. Great place to meet up with friends and family.
Great sushi buffet. Especially on weekends
Clean place with a pleasant atmosphere and fresh all you can eat food. Expect to pay around $25 per person. It is mostly sushi (as the name suggests), nothing exotic, but fresh and tasty. Also, fish, meat, oysters, coconut shrimp, crab legs, and so on. There aren't many desserts, but they do offer eight or ten ice cream flavors. If you are planning a party, there are several private and semi-private rooms for birthdays and such. We usually go there with the whole family and never had any problems. That said, as with most buffets, it's better to come early. The best time to arrive (based on our experience) is between 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
Great buffet, fresh and tasty
The food is good but, some of the items were cold. Ive been there 5 times and STILL haven't had the crab legs. Whenever i went up, it was ALWAYS empty. Most of the foods under the steam lids were not labeled and when i ask the cooks what each one was, she did not understand me and i could not understand her. I wasn't able to eat any of them because i did not know what they were. Don't think i will return
If you like sushi and or other oriental food and you have a big appetite then this place is for you. The sushi, although premade, is usually not bad. Fresh and tasty you have quite a selection to choose from. Modestly priced and never a problem with the staff, we always enjoy the food. If you don't care for what you choose, no problem.....leave it on the plate and try something else.
Buffets are a bad idea during a pandemic, and this place has found a way to work more safely -- and incredibly deliciously. They're working under the name Shake Crab and serving up take out and delivery with a mouth-watering selection of shellfish and Chinese American standards. The crab and shrimp boil was so generous I came home with a dozen shrimp to enjoy the next day.
The quality of sushi was bad. Always feel dirty here. The bathroom was absolutely nasty!! I used to come once in a while and today will be the last time. For the price they charge, the food isn’t up to par.
Food was okay. Have had better. Fruit flies were all over the food. Too pricey for just okay food. Stomach started hurting within 30 mins of eating here and I normally don't get sick like this after eating out.
Excellent quality and tasty food. Presentation is extraordinary. Very good service.
There was a time when the line to get in was outside of the door, no longer the case, for a good reason. The quality has declined. The last 3 times my wife and myself went in for dinner on the weekend, the buffet did not have any dinner items for 1/2 hour after their posted dinner time began. This last time I asked the greeter if the dinner items were out and they said yes, that was not true unless you were willing to wait for 1/2 hour. Sorry not at a buffet. 3 strikes and you're out. Lunch at dinner prices, when you were expecting to eat dinner is not good, especially when there is a pattern.
Great assortment of different types of food. A fun place to eat, love the 🦀legs.
Tokyo sushi has probably the best lunch buffet in the area. They wide array of food is delicious and the price is unbeatable! I highly recommend Tokyo Sushi and Hibachi buffet to anyone looking for a tasty and reasonably priced lunch.
I just came from having a party in their private room. They charged me for the food but not the room and we were there about three hours. Wow! Plenty of soda and water and they cleaned away the plates constantly. Wonderful service. Awesome selection of delicious food. Great, friendly staff. Thank you so much!!!
Customer service was nice, cute waitress, however for the food it was not worth the price. It's $25 per head, & it wasn't satisfying.
Best sushi and Hibachi for the price. Fresh ingredients and it tastes great
The food was fresh and tasted great. The atmosphere is different than the Chinese buffets around. Well decorated and there is a good variety of sushi. We will try the Hibachi table next time we come here. The only negative thing I could say about this restaurant is that the servers just slam down the check whenever they think it's convenient for the customers to leave. I think it's rude. Otherwise I would rate a 5 star.
Exxxtremely expensive. Went on a Sunday afternoon, around 4pm. It was $29.00 for one person. This bbn wouldn't be too expensive bbn if the food was good.Terrible food, terrible service and VERY EXPENSIVE for the quality. I will never bbn go here again
When you enter an eatery of any kind, let the nose be the judge. I didn't this time and paid with a mild upset stomach. The buffet is expensive on weekends ($27 or so) with good sushi/sashimi selection. However the overall quality of cooked foods is subpar. Going to a restaurant would be a better choice.
3.5 stars. Large selection of food, but a little pricey and not all that fresh, at least when we went for dinner around 7. Crab legs go fast, and they don’t big a large portion out at a time. Generally clean. Nothing above and beyond from any other buffet.
I can’t believe people still come here. The only positive thing about this place is the ice cream. I feel sick to my stomach, nauseous and can’t seem to get off the toilet. Everything was dry, room temperature and gross. In my opinion the wrong buffet closed in town. Not to mention.... $60 for 2 people!!!
Really good selection of sushi and sashimiI generally don't like buffets but my kids love this place
Fresh sushi, delicious hot food. Cleanliness is second to none. Love coming here. Great service.
Great place to come for good Japanese food. Great tasting sushi and sashimi, however I would definitely expect a Japanese sushi restaurant to have a few more choices. They also have a selection of grilled seafood, lamb, and beef. Besides the lack of sushi selection, my only other complaint is that the staff is not very friendly. Getting a refill on your drink can sometimes take 20 minutes or more. They're customer service was a lot better when they first opened. No longer our families go to sushi spot.
Amazing. Everything delicious but a little expensive
The variety of sushi is wide however it is a bit difficult if you do not like raw sushi I found in comparison to other sushi bars the which offered equal variety. Presentation of the displays were appealing but in retrospect found the flavor to be slightly sub par.
Never ever write reviews but I felt compelled because I see poor reviews and there shouldn’t be any. I went with my family of 7 (not from nor familiar with the area) and it’s not often you can go into a buffet and every single thing on your plate is good. We were seated quickly on a busy Saturday night. Yes they are pricey compared to other buffets but you get what you pay for. This place was amazing and the food is fresh, definitely recommend.
Summary: an okay buffet restaurant. Some of the sushi freshness was questionable. Other variety of foods were good. Plenty of seating. They take credit cards.I came here for a graduation party and the food was okay. They have a private room in the back for parties which is a plus. The room also has a stage for karaoke. I have to say I was not very impressed by the food. They have a lot of sushi to offer and most of the rolls and sashimi were okay but some did not seem too fresh. There were also raw oysters which is definitely not recommended because it tasted too fishy. They also have a mini hibachi station where you can order stir fried noodles and meats which was yummy. The ice cream freezer was not cold enough so the ice cream was melty, very disappointing. Unfortunately, not sure if I would come back here on my own unless they improve on the freshness of their food.
